Daily Update- June 16, 2020 GOED, LV Mayor Pro Tem

The Governor’s Office of Economic Development Executive Board met today. Executive Director Michael Brown noted in his report that the Board has shifted it’s focus from a 5-year growth plan to an 18-month recovery plan. They also approved a WINN program for $2 million that will create a workforce training and development program for advanced manufacturing. Michael Brown’s report can be read HERE.

In a press conference this evening, Michele Fiore stepped down from her position as Las Vegas Mayor Pro Tem. She intends to spend her time helping her community. Mayor Goodman stated that she just found out about this announcement earlier this afternoon. Stavros Anthony is her choice for new Mayor Pro Tem. This will be up for ratification at the next City Council meeting on July 8.
