The Interim Finance Committee met today and heard three work programs. The first was from GOED and will be a new program that provides $20M for commercial rent assistance. The money is meant for small businesses defined as under 50 employees, and the money would be paid directly to the landlord. The second was for a $3M program to provide delivery services and EBT acceptance for WIC food packages. The third was an $85M acceptance of CARES funds to support DHHS throughout the year. The money will be used primarily for workforce and additional contact tracers, possible vaccine procurement and distribution, data tracking and reporting. All items were approved.
