COVID Update
The latest and most transmissible COVID-19 variant, BA.5, is spreading rapidly through the U.S. and Nevada in what has become the sixth wave of the pandemic. BA.5 is a subvariant of the Omicron variant, which spread widely earlier this year. Medical experts point to low immunization rates as the main reason we keep seeing new variants every 2 to 3 months.
