Daily Update- July 8, 2020 Special Session Begins, GCB Special Meeting

Special Session began in Carson City today. The Senate heard presentations from the Office of the Governor, Department of Health and Human Services, and Public Works. The Assembly heard presentations from the Office of the Governor, Department of Education, and the Nevada System of Higher Education. The building is closed to everyone except for essential staff, so all meetings are being streamed live online. The Gaming Control Board and the Nevada Gaming Commission met today for a special meeting to discuss the Eldorado/Caesars acquisition.  There were four special agenda items that were discussed.  All four items were approved and unanimously passed by the GCB and NGC.
