Daily Update- December 4, 2020: Vaccines in NV, Economic Forum

Today, the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services received official notice from the Department of Defense and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the state’s December COVID-19 vaccine allocation. The State is set to receive more than 164,000 doses throughout the month which will be used for hospital staff, skilled nursing facility staff and residents, and other Tier One individuals as outlined in Nevada’s COVID-19 Vaccination Program Playbook. This initial allocation should cover the majority of the Tier One individuals as outlined in the playbook.  More information can be found here:

Yesterday, Governor Sisolak issued the following statement on the conclusion of the Economic Forum, which determines revenue projections that the Governor must use in developing the Executive Budget for the next biennium.

“Today’s Economic Forum report is a sober reminder of the devastating impacts COVID-19 has caused in our State. This global pandemic has created both a fiscal and economic crisis in our State, and my Office, the Governor’s Finance Office and state agencies will continue the challenging task of preparing an Executive Budget based on our new fiscal reality with the goal of preserving vital services as we plan for a post-COVID future,” said Governor Sisolak. “Once the Legislative Session begins, I look forward to working with Nevada lawmakers on finalizing the budget.”
