The G3Wire- November 12, 2021: Special Session

Nevada’s 33rd Special Session began this afternoon to discuss redistricting.  The proclamation can be found HERE. After the opening ceremonies, resolutions, and the swearing in of newly appointed state senator Don Tatro, the Senate and Assembly adjourned until tomorrow. Both houses announced a Select Committee on Redistricting and Elections, and will be hearing bills jointly over the coming days. The first meeting of the joint committee will be meeting this evening to hear AB1: Revises provisions relating to elections. (BDR 34-8). This bill covers the NSHE maps and changes to the judicial candidate filing period.
