Today, Governor Steve Sisolak released his Phase 2 reopening Directive 021 in to accompany Tuesday night’s announcement. The directive is set to expire on June 30, 2020. All prior directives referenced remain in effect through the end of June. Directive 021 also allows for Nevada’s gaming establishments to open as of June 4, 2020. Today, Governor Sisolak continued the waiver for work search requirement for unemployment claims. He stated in his press release that although some businesses are beginning to open up, the unemployment rate continues to rise and many Nevadans are still in need of financial assistance.
